The Challenge

When Navigators of Canada approached us, they knew they needed a fresh brand. With a strong network of invested staff members, they wanted to get a clear picture of what their internal staff and their audience really thought about the organization. Out of that, they wanted to know how we could position the Navigators as a distinctly different brand, all the while staying on-mission and familiar to the people who already loved them. They also had the additional need to stay connected with a global network of brands under the “Navigators” name worldwide, but continue to uniquely serve their audience here in Canada.

The Solution

We came alongside their team and guided them through our proprietary brand process, uncovering their brand distinctives, such as their core personality and brand characteristics, as well as gaining clarity around their core program participants and ministry donors. We developed a unique voice and visual identity that gave them a fresh look, while still maintaining their connection to a global family of brands.

The Results

By tying together their character, personality, voice, and visuals in a way that is authentically “The Navigators of Canada”, we helped them understand their current perceptions as an organization, and be better understood by their audience. We brought the brand to life with the development of a new brand playbook and visual identity, and equipped them with web and print applications for a big brand roll-out across Canada.
