The Challenge

Compassion Canada was heading into a significant leadership transition - done in a brand-new way - and they needed a trusted publicity and public relations partner to help them roll out and develop a communications strategy that would take place over two years. They were looking for a partner that could exercise wisdom in messaging, timing, and be trustworthy with time-sensitive and confidential information.

The Solution

We came alongside the newly appointed President and CEO, Allison Alley, and incumbent President and CEO, Barry Slauenwhite, to think through messaging from a number of angles - communications to churches across Canada, peers and leaders in other non-profit organizations, and media outlets. From launching the initial transition messaging, to helping Barry Slauenwhite create and launch a book, and recording podcasts with Allison Alley at the time of transition, we worked to build and implement a comprehensive, organic, intentional public relations and publicity plan.

The Results

The Compassion Canada brand overall, as well as the new organizational leader, received strong recognition amongst its target stakeholder groups over a period of two years. And, we became life-long friends of Compassion.
