How Often Should I Post on Social Media?

Organizations we work with understand the need for social media but one of the questions we get asked the most is, How often do we need to post to social media?”

Social Media is constantly changing. At times it can seem like just when you get used to the way you’re producing content and scheduling posts, there are new do's and dont's being thrown your way. Staying up to speed with new platforms, algorithms, and trends can feel like a full-time job!

On this Tip Tuesday we want to shed some light on how you can improve your Social Media!

When it comes to the recommended number of weekly posts, the amount differs slightly depending on your audience and the platform. Posting as much as you can is worth it, at least once a day, but if your time and resources are limited, 2-3 posts each week may be efficient for a small organization.

Every social media platform is unique, as is your audience, so testing and analyzing your results is absolutely key.

While we are sharing suggestions for frequency, it's just as vital, if not more, to aim for consistency!

Another important step in helping you gain traction with your social media accounts is to create a content calendar. This calendar will help you stay organized, help you generate creative and engaging content, help you measure success, and overall, it'll help you to work ahead rather than constantly trying to play catch up. It's important to remain consistent and of course, stay true to your brand.
