Get to Know Emma Mischuk
Emma Mischuk is working for Graf-Martin for her second summer assisting with data entry for our marketing department. She graduated from Trinity Western University in Langley, BC this past April with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. This summer she is helping our marketing department by cleaning up and organizing the largest part of our database, our full church list!
In keeping with our 2022 theme, Stronger, we asked Emma a few questions to get to know her better.
What is your “GO-TO” quote, scripture, and/or song(s) to help you strengthen yourself?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” - Proverbs 3:5
A constant reminder that we are not going through life alone, nor do we need to, nor should we try to! He’s got our backs if we just put our trust in Him, which sometimes is easier said than done!
How have you strengthened Graf-Martin since you joined the team?
I am very patient, thorough, and conscientious - this has helped me grow a reputation for being dependable, trustworthy, productive, and reliable. I prefer to do a lot of listening and assess potential problems and roadblocks before taking action. When I apply this to my work, it helps me anticipate obstacles and find the most efficient way forward. When it comes to cleaning up our database of church contacts, these are huge strengths. At the end of my time here, Graf-Martin will be even more organized internally - this will help them do an even better job of reaching the right people with the right messages.
How has being part of the Graf-Martin team strengthened you?
Being a part of this team and seeing the impact of what I am doing here this summer has strengthened me. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming. They have trained me to do my job well, and see potential in me that I may not see in myself. Being a summer student at Graf-Martin has been very encouraging. It has opened up more opportunities and shown me more possibilities for my future!
On top of working at Graf-Martin, Emma also works as a wedding and events server on the weekends. The balance of office work and running around on her feet keeps her busy!
When Emma is not working, she enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with her nephew, watching rom-coms, and singing on her church worship team.
