WATERLOO – February 10, 2020 – Lionsgate, Kingdom Story Company and Mongrel Media are pleased to announce I STILL BELIEVE, the highly-anticipated biopic about contemporary Christian music artist, Jeremy Camp. The film brings to life the true story behind the song of ultimate hope, “I Still Believe,” by Camp, a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter who has sold over 5 million albums.The film is shaping up to be the faith-movie event of the year and will release in theatres across Canada on March 13, 2020. Starring KJ Apa (“Riverdale”), Britt Robertson (A DOG’S PURPOSE), Shania Twain, and Gary Sinise (FORREST GUMP, “CSI:NY”), I STILL BELIEVE presents a hopeful reminder that faith tested is faith worth sharing.

I STILL BELIEVE brings the inspiring love story of Jeremy and Melissa Camp to the big screen, showing the couple’s remarkable journey of love and loss and proving there is always hope in the midst of tragedy. As Jeremy (Apa) walked with Melissa (Robertson) through a difficult season, Melissa’s steadfast and unwavering faith inspired Jeremy to write the hit song, “I Still Believe.” “It’s been 18 years since I’d wrote the song, ‘I Still Believe,’” noted Camp. “My pain, my hurt, the struggles, the realness of it – the song was authentic. God knew the right timing when the story was supposed to be told and with the right people.”The creators of the film, The Erwin Brothers, have received a rare A+ CinemaScore twice. “We’re honoured to bring the love story of Jeremy and Melissa Camp to the screen in I STILL BELIEVE. The track was Jeremy’s first hit song, born out of an intensely personal and redemptive season, and KJ Apa’s performance really drives home the power of faith,” said filmmaker Jon Erwin, who created both I CAN ONLY IMAGINE and I STILL BELIEVE with brother Andrew Erwin and Kevin Downes.
