The Story and Evolution of our Logo

We love good branding. Why? Because when they’ve got a solid, clear brand, our clients are freed up to do more good.

Over and over again, we’ve seen our clients have “lightbulb moments” in the middle of our brand process - realizing how they can expand and grow their mission because they have clarity on who they are, who they serve, and how they uniquely carry out their work. At that point, a great name and a good-looking logo are the icing on the cake.

So, as we entered a new stage of our own organization’s life, serving an increasing number of charitable organizations and non-profits, we knew we needed to take a good look at our own brand. As a team, we walked step-by-step through our proprietary brand process, just like we do with our clients. It was eye-opening!

This led to refreshing our strategic direction, our mission, vision, values, and getting clarity on who we serve best, and how we uniquely serve our clients. It was powerful!

And now... the (beautiful) icing on the cake? A brand-new logo, colour palette, and tagline that feels like it really fits us. (Our clients agree - they started calling us about it even before we officially launched it!).

If you’ve traveled with us at all over the past 13 years, you’ll know that in 2008 we started out with an acorn as our main logo icon. Our Founder and President, Ellen Graf-Martin, was inspired by her work with Max Lucado on his book, “The Oak Inside the Acorn,” and our desire to help our clients grow their great ideas.

Well, that great idea just kept on growing, and now, more than a decade later, as we’ve seen our clients flourish and grow with great publicity, branding, marketing strategy - so have we.

We started as a little acorn with some big hopes. As we grew, we refreshed our logo, but stayed pretty close to the original. But, where we are today recognizes the growth we’ve experienced, the skill sets we've grown into, and the hopeful future we see for our clients.

We’re so grateful for all of those who have grown right alongside us - thank you! We’re excited to keep on moving your mission forward - for good.
