Canadian Television Host Shares Unexpected Journey in New Devotional

Coffee with Him - Ann Mainse

Ann Mainse Pens Her Cancer Healing Journey in “Coffee with Him”

WATERLOO – June 24, 2020 – Host of the Canadian Christian television program A Better Us, and former host of 100 Huntley Street, Ann Mainse knows firsthand what it means for life to take an unexpected twist. One year ago, Mainse received a devastating phone call from her doctor, informing her of a cancer diagnosis. Mainse unpacks her story of healing in her new devotional, Coffee with Him: Mornings with God on an Unexpected Journey, available now for purchase on Amazon. Coffee with Him is a 31-day devotional for anyone going through a difficult journey, as everyone faces unexpected bumps in the road, whether it be a health issue, a relationship breakdown, financial struggles or something else. As she openly details the trials and triumphs, fears and tears from her own experience fighting cancer, Mainse invites readers facing the tough twists and turns of everyday life to receive comfort, courage, hope and healing from God.“The very day I received my breast cancer diagnosis, I sensed strongly that God wanted me to journal my journey as a way of processing what He would reveal to my broken, yet open, heart. Over time, as I privately did this, I sensed that someone else could be helped by what God’s Spirit was revealing to me and began sharing my devotionals publicly through Facebook,” noted Mainse. “Before long, thousands were tracking with me and many encouraged me to put these thoughts into a book.” With Mainse’s signature grace and honesty, Coffee with Him features her personal and intimate reflections over the past year as she underwent surgeries and chemotherapy, and as she was pronounced cancer free earlier this year. The devotional is intentionally interactive for readers with guiding questions, prayer starters and a section for journaling to bring readers to a place of solidifying their trust in God – no matter what they are walking through. The book concludes with a treasury of over 100 Bible passages that were particularly meaningful to her throughout her journey.Released on June 10, 2020, Coffee with Him quickly became the #1 bestselling devotional on Amazon Canada.Interviews with Ann Mainse are available.
