Bible League Canada Announces New Standalone Canadian Ministry Division

Converge Canada Launches September 1, 2020

WATERLOO – August 17, 2020 – For over 60 years, Bible League Canada has equipped and empowered Christians in over 40 countries through partnership with local Christian ministry organizations. On September 1, Bible League Canada will launch a standalone Canadian ministry division: Converge Canada. The word converge means to come together and unite in a common interest or focus and Converge Canada will be key in advancing Bible League Canada’s ministry to reach more Canadians for Jesus.“As a ministry, we at Bible League Canada are excited to announce Converge Canada. After much prayer, research and planning, we knew that we needed to develop our Canadian ministry and let Canadians know that we are passionate to see God at work in our own nation,” noted Paul Richardson, President and CEO of Bible League Canada. “Converge Canada will serve as a catalyst for bringing like-minded organizations together for a greater purpose.”The ministry will operate under the same framework as Bible League Canada, with an emphasis on placing Scriptures into the hands of Canadian believers, training local champions and partnering with Canadian organizations.

With a singular, focused geographical area, the organization will be able to increase its number of ministry partners, place more Scriptures and reach groups they haven’t been able to before, such as Indigenous groups. Cheryl Walsh, Converge Canada’s Executive Director shared, “For many years, I have felt called to serve here in Canada, and to reach every Canadian for Jesus. We are living in an unprecedented time and our nation needs Jesus – perhaps more than ever. With the launch of Converge Canada, we are making a concentrated and focused effort for our ministry in Canada to move forward. ”Converge Canada will work alongside Canadian ministry partners and bring them together in a facilitative role to reach more people as various ministries work together, allowing Canadians to come to faith and experience life transformation. Converge Canada launches September 1, 2020. Learn more at www.convergecanada.ca.
